Rainwater Tanks

Rainwater harvesting plays an integral part of life throughout many Australian communities.

In most rural regions, you can never have too many sources of water, being able to capture ‘free water’ from the sky isn’t just a bonus, it’s a necessity.

Robust and reliable, Pioneer rain water tanks safely store and maintain high quality drinking water in even the harshest, most demanding environments. With added fire protection, tested by the CSIRO, our rainwater tanks have even been proven to withstand severe bush fires.

All Pioneer rainwater tanks are made with genuine Bluescope Zincalume® and Colorbond® steel and are available in a wide range of colours to suit any setting.

We can also install our smart water savers to further help save more water in your Pioneer water tank by utilising its large roof space to capture rainwater. HOW DO I FILL UP MY TANK?

There are two primary ways to fill your watertank when collecting rainwater from a roof. The wet or dry system, both have advantages and disadvantages.. Please see below for examples of them.

Please contact us today to find out more.

Wet System

A wet sytem has the pipe work going underground, this creates a more appealing set up as most of the pipework is hidden, to ensure the pipe leading into the tank has enough head pressure to fill the tank, the top of the water tank should be atleast 0.5m lower then the gutters height.

Dry System

The dry system has pipes running straight from the gutter into the tank, this is the simpliest set up but means the tank must be positioned close to the roof area. The pipework is also exposed.
